2010 England & Greece
London
What luck! After a cold start in England, I found glorious weather in London for the end of my holiday. I had only four nights in the city and wished I’d had more…many more. It was sunny and 70-80 degrees for the three days. There was no rain in London the entire time I was there!
I spent my first day touring the Tower of London and then walking across Tower Bridge and along the Queen’s Walk. It was a Saturday and families were out enjoying the beautiful day. I walked for many hours, stopping at Covent Garden to enjoy the street entertainers and had lunch at the Covent Garden Market Place, just a few doors from Belgo Centraal on Earlham Street (several blocks from Covent Garden). It’s a market/café/take-away sort of place with tables in the back and outside. For a small price I had a good Thai curry. I found a restaurant in Chinatown serving dim sum off the menu at dinnertime.

Sunset didn’t arrive until 9:30 pm, so I had a leisurely stroll through St. James’s Park on the way back to my hotel.  Even in the evening the park was filled with people.  I had set my camera's neutral density filter on at some point and I think my flower photos look interesting because of it.
