THE COTSWOLDS

What we did:

On our way from Heathrow we stopped in Woodstock to visit Bleinheim Palace, birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill.  The weather was on again, off again, on again, off again, and so on.  It was a Sunday and they had a Triathlon going on.  The following weekend they had an arts and crafts show scheduled -- that would have been more our style.  The grounds are beautifully manicured, and we had lunch cafeteria-style seated outdoors next to the fountains.  We took a walk around the lake and continued our drive to Broadway.  www.blenheimpalace.com.  Entrance is covered under the Heritage Pass.
