Rome, Capri and Amalfi
April 2009
Day 9, Rome:

I found Residenza Cellini on Tripadvisor where it was rated one of the best ten hotels in Rome.  It also won an award in 2009 from Tripadvisor for its service.  This 11-room hotel is located near Termini but, unlike the Hotel Canada, is within walking distance to tourist attractions.  We reserved junior suites at 210 euros (cash payment only).  They were actually regular rooms, but over-sized.  Both rooms (me and Marian on the fifth floor with Maritza and Mommie on the third floor) were in very quiet locations.  The bathrooms had whirlpool tubs.  The outdoor terrace was lovely and we sat out there one evening.  The breakfast room was small as some on Tripadvisor mentioned, but we seemed to be the only ones in there each morning; they kept a bowl of fresh fruit in the breakfast room all day.  Marian went home earlier than me, and I spent one night in our room by myself at a reduced rate of 195 euros.  www.residenzacellini.it
