London -- The Cotswolds -- Paris
May 15-29, 2005
The Queen's Gallery at Buckingham Palace had a special showing of Dutch paintings and it was wonderful.  They have a coat check where they encourage (not require) people to check bags and cameras.  When the attendant saw me debating on whether to leave my (new) camera, he said with a chuckle and a wry smile, "You needn't worry.  Afterall, you are in Buckingham Palace!"  Again, our Heritage Passes provided admittance.
Our original destination one afternoon was Bleinheim Crescent as I'd read about some of the shops there: a cookbook store, a travel book store and a spice shop.  The shops were of minor interest, but, much to our delight, it was right at Portobello Market.  We spent about an hour wandering and enjoying the atmosphere.
